Frightful Features: The Second Scare

The fog is thickening between the grooves of your brain. Like a snake, it slithers about, weaving down your spine. After burning the last book, you thought the nightmares would stop. You believed your life would go on as it did before you found that blood-curdling copy. Yet, something sinister lurks behind your every movement. Daunting the trails of blood that linger off your corpse, as your mind tries to occupy a rational explanation of what deranged creature could haunt you this horrifically. Every corner you turn, your eyes seethe with chill, almost as if your head is mocking your alarmed behavior. Grim melodies stain your thoughts into a screeching hum you can not seem to get rid of, until practically pulling apart your brain matter out of distress.
